Take Your Communication, Skills & Partnership with Your Horse

TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Around here it is not English versus Western...

It is Quality Horsemanship.

Whether you ride recreationally, competitively, or professionally—this clinic is for you if you want you and your horse to have the skills, understanding and partnership to confidently and successfully do what you enjoy doing most together.

At the core of everything we do during the clinic is my Working Partnership approach. WHAT we do with our horse develops the skills both we and our horses need, HOW we work with our horse develops the partnership we share together.

During this clinic you will learn how to build trust and skills at the same time, with an approach that works with all horses, regardless of breed, age or discipline. You’ll leave with practical tools, more confidence, and the understanding of exactly what you need to do to create a dependable partner in your horse.

What We'll Cover:

Ground Work

You will learn the essential exercises that lay the foundation for your horse on ground and understand how they directly translate to your ridden work.

Ridden Work

Under saddle you'll focus on developing practical skills that encourage and allow your horse to move without tightness or tension and be more balanced and relaxed.

Application

You'll learn how to apply the skills that you've developed on the ground and under saddle to the specific activities that you enjoy doing with your horse.

Don't Just Take Our Word For It

"No ego, no judgment. What a great clinician. Thank you, thank you! Such a wonderful breathe of fresh air. Still absorbing so much. If you have the opportunity to take a clinic with him please do so. Your horse will thank you. Thank you for making riding feel magical again. Not that it didn’t before but this was something really special. Please come back again! Soon!”

Deborah, Minnesota

"I decided for me this time I would audit only the clinic. How I wished I had brought my horse. I came away with an amazing amount of information. Even though I was just auditing, I was given the time and respect to all my questions. His method of training made perfect sense to me. I would recommend Colton to anyone that wants to develop an understanding with their horse('s).I was excited to get home and start working my two horses. They are in for a treat and I will feel more comfortable working with my young Norwegian Fjord. We are off to a great start."

Heidi, Maine

"Colton is a very gifted teacher of both horses and their humans, and he was instrumental in equipping me with physical and mental tools to help Chip refocus when things get a little hairy. We've made a lot of progress since then, and I couldn't be more pleased and grateful!!!"

Jill, Kentucky

Understanding the Philosophy & Approach a bit deeper...

Purpose

Everything we do has purpose, from what we do, to how we do it. With purpose at the forefront we are able to be more intentional, more aware and take action with the right amount of energy, urgency and effectiveness.

Within The Cavvy, we don't do things just to do them. We do them because they have a positive impact on our lives, on our horse's lives and all those around us.

Partnership

To be a partner to your horse and have your horse be your partner, it goes beyond friendship. There is a deeper level of connection, of knowing each other, of knowing you can trust each other and depend on one another. How we work with our horses here in The Cavvy builds partnerships we can rely on in the best of times and the worst of times. They are partnerships to last a life time.

Performance

We don't rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training.

It's not about showing... It's about skills. Developing dependable, reliable skills both you and your horse can be confident in and able to execute on in any situation. Whether your goal is to safely and enjoyably head down the trail, compete in the dressage arena, show in the ranch horse, do liberty work, whatever it is...

Performance is the result of WHAT we do with our horses to develop the skills we must have as their leader and our horse must have as our partner.

We keep it:

FUN

INFORMATIVE

REAL

& POSITIVE
